Declaration Concerning Validity

An "annulment" is the popular name for what Washington law officially calls a "Declaration Concerning Validity" of marriage. It is a way for the courts to cancel a marriage if they find that the couple was not legally married.

CLEAR (Coordinated Legal Education, Advice, and Referral): CLEAR is Northwest Justice Project's innovative statewide toll-free telephone service for low-income people to obtain free legal assistance with civil legal problems in Washington state.
