The Center was funded in part through a Community Access to Technology
grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Hours & Location:
The LRTC is located inside the Seattle
location of the King County Law Library on the 6th floor of the
King County Courthouse at 516 3rd Avenue. The LRTC is used for training
purposes.

Searching Washington Superior Court Case Information 
Learn how to use the new searching features on the Washington
Courts webpage plus a brief overview of the King County Superior Court's
ECR service (paid access to scanned-in court documents).
Advanced Searching on Westlaw and Lexis
Learn how to create complex search queries on Westlaw and Lexis using
Boolean operators. Participants are welcome to bring a sample query
to search.
Civil Procedure (WA) in 90 Minutes 
Learn the basics of civil procedure in Washington state, including
terminology, the court system, and the steps of the civil litigation
process.
Searching Law Reviews (Westlaw, HeinOnline & LegalTrac)
Learn how to find law reviews with known citations and how
to do keyword searches using two subscription databases available in
the Library.
Training for Seattle Public Library Staff
KCLL is proud to provide specialized training classes for librarians
at the Seattle Public Library. While the classes are not open to the

Learn about resources in our Library and on the Internet for doing research
on Section 1983 civil rights litigation.
How to Finish Your Divorce
The King County Bar Association teaches a How to Finish Your
Divorce seminar the second Wednesday of every month from 5:30pm to 7pm
in the Library's Legal Research and Training Center. This class is free
and pre-registration is not required.

Learn how to protect yourself from identity theft in this class taught
by a Washington State trooper.
