Information collected and how it is used:

The KCLL web site is hosted by an outside Internet service provider. The service provider does not provide the library with any Internet Protocol specific information about individuals. If you do nothing more during your visit to the library’s web site than browse, read pages, or download information, certain information will be gathered and stored about your visit. This information will not identify you personally. We gather and store this information to help us understand how people use our web site so that we may continually improve the site’s usefulness to the public.

You may volunteer personal information during your visit to our web site by sending us an email, by participating in a survey on the site, or by filling out a form on our site. After we have responded to your email, the personally identifiable information you provided will be stripped from the data collected before the data is used for the purposes identified above.

The web site provides no encryption for credit card or password data. Once you leave the library’s web site by linking to another web site, this privacy notice will not apply. When you link to another web site, you are subject to the privacy policy of that new site.
