| What is the King County Law
Library?
The King County Law Library serves the legal and law related information
needs of the county, including judges, county officials, members
of the bar, and other residents. The Library is open to the public
and has a knowledgeable staff available to assist you with your
research needs.
What does the Library contain?
The collection includes a variety of paper and electronic resources,
which explain the application of state and federal law and court
decisions.
How can I reach you?
We have two locations. The Seattle
Library is on the 6th floor of the King County Courthouse
in downtown Seattle. The Kent
Library is located in the Maleng Regional Justice Center in
downtown Kent.
How do I check out materials?
Those wishing to borrow materials must first pay a subscriber
fee to the library. This entitles the subscriber to borrow materials
from both the Seattle and Kent Branch Libraries.
How do I renew materials?
The Library allows one renewal! Call on or before the due date
of the book and receive an additional seven days from the original
due date. Renewing a book does not erase existing fines and books
may only be renewed once. Call, email or come into the Library
to renew your books!
Do you have forms that I can use?
The Law Library has a variety of forms. Some are blank and ready
to be filled in after being copied. A majority are "model"
forms that provide examples of standard language. |
